[0001 9/10/2026 3:04:22 PM]-Store Manager Ms. Melanie (450-558-5997) reported that the left-side bill acceptor was not working. I inspected both bill acceptors and cassettes and found that one of the rollers in the left-side bill acceptor had detached from its original position. The left-side cassette was also overfilled, and both bill acceptors had accumulated dust and debris. Dusted the printer enclosure, acceptor vault, both bill acceptors, and both cassettes. The right-side bill acceptor was cleaned using cleaning cards, the counter was reset to zero, and deposit testing through the right-side bill acceptor was successful. I attempted to reattach the detached roller to its original position but was unsuccessful. Tidel was contacted, and they will ship a new bill acceptor. Since the left-side cassette was full, I advised the Store Manager to contact Deposita to have Garda empty the cassette. She advised that Garda is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, September 11, 2026, to perform their regular service, which I acknowledged. I also explained to the Store Manager that a new bill acceptor has been ordered and is expected to arrive by next Monday. We will return to complete the repair once the part is delivered. She acknowledged this information. Further diagnostics confirmed stable FTP, XML, and time synchronization. Current data was saved to the SD card, and setup reports were printed and placed inside the acceptor vault for future reference.;

[0001 9/8/2026 4:57:24 PM]-Spoke with MoD Jason on arrival and he confirmed the issue of the tube vend motor turning off mid-operation was still occuring. I investigated voltages on terminals on the control PCB, distribution board, TACC board, and power supplies: all were within proper range for operations. After checking voltages and clearing a tube jam that had occurred before my arrival, Jason wanted to show me the issue. Before he did this, I ran a tube dump function on the empty column 3 and had no issues. I observed as Jason loaded column 3 with eleven tubes and then proceeded to dump them. Six tubes were dumped before the motor stopped, the display showed "dump completed", and a receipt was printed with no subtraction from column 3. I reached out to Sesami to request parts: Tyler explained due to logical issues it is likely a control PCB that needs to be replaced since the TACC board and motor were replaced on the previous visit. Part is being couriered via FSL.;

After completing the replacements, attempted to open the vault door, but the door would not open. The next step is to replace the cable to the control PCB and the encrypted lock body. However, in order to access and replace these components, the vault door will need to be drilled. Contacted Sesami and spoke with Temicka to have the documents regarding TR400 recycler pedicures. Measured and marked the cross point on the vault door and began drilling a pilot hole using a smaller drill bit in preparation for breaking the lock. Successfully drilled through the vault door wall; however, the drill bit broke during the process. Attempted to switch the broken drill bit; however, the drill bit holder adapter became locked and I was unable to remove the smaller bit. I tried several different tools and methods to release the bit, but was unsuccessful. I went to a nearby mechanic shop for assistance. The mechanic was able to release the drill bit from the adapter but confirmed that the adapter was damaged and was no longer usable. Went to Home Depot to locate a replacement and confirmed that the required SDS-shank bit holder adapter was not available in the store. Went to Ace HW store and the employee advised the adapter would need to be purchased only online. A return appointment is required to complete the vault door drilling and lock removal. Will return with the correct adapter and appropriate tools to complete the repair. Left the parts cable to the control PCB and the encrypted lock body inside the recycler cabinet. Multiple drill bits were attempted, including both titanium and cobalt bits in different sizes, starting with smaller bits in an attempt to create a pilot hole. Despite multiple attempts and depending several hours, I was unable to penetrate the lock or create a pilot hole. Sorter is rejecting 30-50 % coins. Also kept getting blockage error on dime hopper. Removed hopper and cleaned out revolver. Issue still remains. I called Sesami and spoke to chris. Went over troubleshooting and everything i had done. With approval from tier 3. He will be sending out a hopper for the dimes and a new sorter to replace it. If excessive rejects happen for pennies a calibration kit will need to be set and will need to work with Scott or latif to adjust sorter. After reviewing the issue, Paul confirmed that the coin hopper was available because it was for a different denomination. This site is experiencing an issue with the penny hopper, while the previously referenced site had an issue with the dime hopper, and Tidel currently has no dime hoppers in inventory. I asked Paul whether traveling to the site would be a waste of time since the replacement hopper was not scheduled to arrive until tomorrow. We agreed that, because the $20 bill cassette was still not functioning, it would be beneficial to proceed to the site, verify the existing issue, and determine whether any additional parts would be required. Upon arrival, I spoke with the site manager and confirmed that the current issue with the $20 cassette was the same issue previously experienced, where the cassette would not properly transfer currency. All other denominations are currently transferring bills from their respective cassettes into the deposit cassette as expected; however, the $20 denomination remains unable to transfer. I contacted Tidel again and was connected with Paul. We reviewed the service history and notes from both myself and other technicians who had previously worked on this specific cassette issue. During previous troubleshooting, I replaced multiple components, including transports, note routers, transition gates, cassettes, and motors, without resolving the problem. Another technician also replaced additional components, which likewise did not correct the issue. The problem was ultimately resolved temporarily through engineering intervention, but the underlying cause was never definitively identified. Paul and I discussed the possibility that engineering had previously implemented a firmware patch that temporarily corrected the issue. We suspect the machine may have subsequently received a remote firmware update that did not contain the same patch because the correction may have been incorporated into an earlier/lower firmware version and was not carried forward into the newer firmware. Based on the previous repair history and the possibility that additional hardware replacement would not resolve the issue, Paul instructed me to forward/postpone the call while he escalates the issue to Tier 3 and Engineering for further investigation and direction. The objective is to identify the appropriate permanent resolution rather than continuing to replace components without addressing the underlying firmware or software issue. Site has cleaned and checked the hopper multiple times and issue is still happening. Contacted Sesami, spokewith Dominic, explained what was going on and he said a dime hopper will be needed. Unfortunately dime hoppers are in backorder until further notice. Place call as non-runable. Call Sesami to check on part status every few days. Recycler is operational but dimes will keep jamming. Site is aware of part status. ; [0002 8/22/2026 4:10:25 PM]-Spent approximately 35 minutes on the phone with Jefferson from Tidel explaining the ongoing issue with the dime hopper. I explained that when technicians call in to report that the dime hopper requires replacement, they are advised that there is currently no inventory available and that the hopper is on backorder, after which the call is passed on to another technician. Jefferson spoke with his senior staff and was initially instructed to have me place the call in a non-runnable status. I was unfamiliar with how to do that, so Jefferson and I continued troubleshooting the actual cause of the issue. We determined that the entire hopper does not necessarily need to be replaced at this time. The missing component is the thrust washer located between the hopper frame and the disc assembly responsible for separating the coins. Without the thrust washer, the disc has excessive axial and rotational play, allowing it to lean from side to side while rotating. This creates inconsistent gaps between the disc and hopper, with the gaps becoming narrower and wider as the disc rotates, ultimately causing the dime hopper to jam. [Certain] The thrust washer has been missing for an extended period of time and is the underlying cause of the recurring jams. Jefferson researched the available parts and will be sending out the disc assembly, which includes the disc and the required thrust washer. This will allow the site to resume dispensing dimes without having to wait for the complete hopper assembly to become available. [Likely] Once the replacement hopper becomes available, it can be installed later if necessary. The disc assembly is expected to be delivered by Tuesday.; [0003 8/23/2026 2:53:29 PM]-Contacted Tidel again regarding the coin hopper parts issue and spoke with Igath. Called Evelyn from Sesami support, sending two hoppers. ; [0002 7/15/2026 12:22:43 PM]-Arrived on site and called Sesami and parts are on back order; [0003 9/10/2026 5:15:53 PM]-Arrived at FSL to pick up the parts, found out the parts got moved back to shelf. Called Seth from Sesami support, i was told to go to the site check the unit and see if they are parts on site. Arrived on site, no parts. Found issues with shutter, escrow and note feeder. Removed each components, cleared the jamm on the output module and escrow and fixed the issue with escrow, tested the note recycle with Kimberly for almost 20 minutes, no issues at this time. Called Akran from Sesami support, he indicated to leave the ticket open, due to hoppers not arrived yet.;
