Manager also complained about bottom.storage vault not opening. Handle is dragging. This safe has been vandalized in the past. The corner of the door has been hammered and very likely out of shape. You basically have to press the bottom corner of the door with your foot to get handle to slide up and down somewhat free. Inspected one of the bushings and indeed there is a lot of grinding going on. Called Tidel with pictures of the issue to take some type of an action.;

***TECH#196 CATO*** On site 9/12@3:15pm. On arrival BA2 was showing jammed. There were food particles and syrup in the note feeder. I removed the rollers and cleaned it out best I could but it still would not work, the syrup seeped all up inside and was gumming it up. Replaced note feeder and MOD tested

Unit was down with both bill validator jam and printer, not printing. I did a diagnostic and found that the bill validators had coffee beans and a pennies in both, I cleared the jam had manager do drop it passed. I fix the printer, it was loaded incorrectly. I had manager do print tests. It passed, I put unit back in service unit is up and open;

On arrival the customer reported BA 1 failure status. I found coffee grounds and beans all inside the BNF. I replaced the BA 1 assembly including the BNF and the BA. Still failure. I swapped BA1 and BA2 and the failure issue remains in BA1. I removed the BA assembly and tested voltage on the 7th and 8th pin on the MEI card. I replaced the MEI card. Still failure. I then replaced the entire BA housing assembly and that seemed to do the trick. Unit is dropping as designed with no issues. The cable was reported to be replaced, but its the part that the MEI card plugs into, rather than the cable itself. Call completed.

Arrived on site and spoke with MoD Jessica. She was pleased I had been dispatched to work on the safe. Immediately noticed a slight indentation on the Display. When i attempted to use it though the calibration was off. I shut off the safe and reseated the connections and booted it back up while tapping on the display to calibrate. This led me to the calibration screen but I needed to apply a lot of pressure to get a resulting touch and even then it was inconsistent. I swapped out the old display for the one Tidel shipped and it immediately worked. Tested it by authorizing the PACN in my notes and opening doors. Allowed Jessica to also log in. Reassemble and install the correct part that they sent the second time which is a short threaded rod with a round plastic ball on the end for the sliding bolt lock assembly and tighten it securely. Test open and close the sliding bolt lock assembly with the vault door open, several times to ensure correct and smooth operation. Close and secure the sliding drawer vault door and then observe the manager testing- opening and closing the lower sliding drawer vault door several times to their satisfaction and they were very happy of how smooth and easy it was to operate. The manager Nicole also said that sometimes that bill validators reject notes so I removed and thoroughly cleaned inside them and observed her testing with several bills, successful. Customer safe is now operating properly and back in service.;

On arrival, MOD stated that both bill acceptors were having issues. Left side would not feed at all while the right side would intermittently not feed. On inspection, found a dime stuck in the left BA feeder. Removed dime carefully to avoid damage to feeder. Cleaned out all dust and debris from feeder. Cleaned all sensor lenses. Right side BA needed cleaning. Wheels inside feeder had reduced grip due to dirt deposits. Cleaned out all dust and dirt. Cleaned wheels and all sensor lenses. Installed both BAs into safe. Used bill authentication and white 98 paper to test feeding of both acceptors. Both fed correctly multiple times witout issues. MOD then tested by depositing $1 into each acceptor successfully. Safe is back in full operation. Job complete.

Called Sesami again, spoke with Sergio, and meanwhile discovered that the correct part is 201.2714.001S. Replaced with correct part. Reattached the door 1 internal cover. Tested door 1 multiple times successfully.

Was told by sites manager that door was having issues locking as well with bad handle ball, after inspecting locking mechanism, I found that locking mechanism was missing hardware and needed adjustments, after doing so and installing new ball handle I tested with customer, safe working fine

1527679458 on arrival the customer reported a broken handle. I removed the locking plate and attempted to cut a slit so I could unscrew the broke part. That did not work, i drilled out the broken handle and replaced it with a new one. I tested woth MoD to emsure all was in good order. Unit is testing great.

Issue: Safe – Display Showing Lines in Different Colors Troubleshooting Steps: I called the site and requested troubleshooting. I had the CSM perform a power cycle and reboot the unit. After the reboot, the unit came back online and the error cleared. The CSM was able to log in and successfully complete a transaction. Result: Issue fixed. Unit is back online and operating normally.

Prior to arrival had to pick up part at Hayward FSL. Around a two our commute. Arrived on site, after some troubleshooting there was issues with the cassette but after reseating the bv, Mei card, and the cassette the issues cleared. Then tested with MOD and is now working properly. Also part ordered by tidel was the incorrect part. Sending part back not needed. Safe is up and running.;

After obtaining the required parts, I proceeded to the site at 4010 Sunset Boulevard in Rancho Cordova, California, where I met with the on-shift manager, Keyana. I contacted Tidel support and spoke with Tyrell to obtain the PACN code and gain access to the safe. Prior to replacing any components, I asked Keyana to describe the reported issue. She stated that the touchscreen "basically had a mind of its own" and would operate intermittently. During inspection, I observed visible discoloration in the lower-left portion of the display. I performed voltage checks at the PCB to determine whether the issue could be related to unstable power delivery. The measured rails were stable at 5.1 VDC and 24.2 VDC with no observed fluctuations. Based on the stable voltage readings and absence of evidence indicating a PCB failure, I determined that PCB replacement was not warranted and replaced only the touchscreen/display assembly. Following installation, I had Keyana perform functional testing by logging into the safe and navigating through the menus to verify proper touchscreen response and operation. Keyana also mentioned that the bill acceptors would occasionally experience issues. I showed her the bill-reading optical sensors behind the clear glass/plastic surfaces and demonstrated the proper cleaning procedure using a Q-tip to help prevent acceptance issues caused by contamination or debris.;

The manager informed me that this safe came from another location and was recently installed here and hasn't been working properly. I checked the device status menu and it showed one of the bill validators unspecific failure and it showed the printer not communicating . When I began the process of removing the printer that was tested last time, I saw that the power wire was loose-coming out of the connector that feeds into the printer and I recrimped it to the Brass fitting that plugs into the connector body and plugged it back into the printer. The printer then powered on and I went into device status again and it now shows printer ready. I then navigated to the Diagnostics menu and perform test print and all characters were printing perfect. I then removed and thoroughly cleaned inside of both Bill validators and remove the roller assembly and blue out lots of dust from the throat area and lint and then reassemble them and reinstalled them and they both initialized properly and now device status shows both Bill validators ready. I observed the manager testing post bill validators with several notes, successful. Being that this is a new safe install and the manager said he was not briefed on its correct operation, I spent some time showing him the various menus items and printed a current content report and showed him how to add Clerks into the safe with name and pin number. I was fortunate to spot that the brass cable connector was coming out of the plug that feeds into the printer and did not have to use the new printer part. Customer safe is now operating properly and back in service.;

Upon arrival , I got in contact with manager with a smart safe login. I opened and accessed the BAs. I begin troubleshooting the issue. I pm the BAs I pm the device I test the BAs . Successfull operations. Smart safe up and operational. ;

Upon arrival safe with drop vault broken handle. Accessed safe with packing coded and when trying to open the safe noticed solenoid not acting. Smacked door with mallet and managed to open the door. Removed placed and extracted remaining thread intalled plate back amd installed handle. Replaced solenoid and tested door several times with no issues. Customer tested good.

He did some digging and found that an employee named Kimberly (who was a visiting associate) , put the ticket in unnecessarily. They tried to cancel the order, but It did not reach is in time. Arrived on site and checked in with mod Christopher. Called into sesami and gained new pacn. Deep cleaned ba2 and found that it was stuck in a constant initialization loop. Swapped and error followed. Replaced BA2 and tested successfully. ba1 worked intermittently. Deep cleaned with cleaning card and blew out with blower and tested successfully. Return tracking for used ba is 1Z7611409052454151. UPS location is closed on sunday so part will be dropped off monday morning. Unit is up and open.;

I conducted a thorough inspection and located the half bill she referred to. Following this, I provided her with training on how to remove paper jams effectively in the machine, and she successfully demonstrated her ability to perform the task.

Checked rails and saw significant wear on the left side. Made adjustments on left rail. Door still cant lock. Adjusted locking plate by tight ing plates. Still won't let me close the door. I called Sesami and spoke to Moon . I was transferred to Rich in tier 3. I remember the other one i worked on needed washers. I told him I remember that. I loosened the door locking plate and was able to push lock more in. I will need to go to Lowes and get washers to bump out the door. ; Arrived to site and checked in with MOD. ***TECH#196 CATO*** On site 9/5@8:55am. On arrival Door 2 was working and the sensors were functioning as they should, however the lock bar was binding up when trying to close. I disassembled the door and found dried grease on the bushings inside. Cleaned off dried grease from bushings and relubricated. Also, the set screws that stabalize the lock bar had backed out of place, applied Loctite to screws and adjusted. Reassembled door and tested repeatedly. No parts replaced, see photos attached

***TECH#196 CATO*** On site 9/4@12:55pm. On arrival Door 2 would not open. Found the cable had pulled loose from the distribution PCB. I created some extra salck in the cable and plugged it back in. Tested all doors and showed Alexis how to clear jams in the acceptors, she is new to this store and had some questions. No parts replaced, see photos attached

On arrival, MOD stated that the got the drawer closed but now it wont open all the way. On inspection, found that drawer will only open about two inches before it stops due to an obstruction. After working with it for a few minutes and having to pull vary hard, the drawer eventually opened completely. I looked around all side and then underneath and found the obstruction. A key had fallen down through a narrow slot in the drawer face and was hanging up the bottom of the safe. I was able to remove the key and give it to the manager. The drawer now opens and closes fully and smoothly without issues. Checked solenoid and door sensors to ensure proper operation and that no damage had been done. Everything is now working as intended. No parts needed. Job complete.

End of shift ; End of shift ; On arrival, I spoke with Manager Claire, who stated that the right BA was not accepting cash. Upon further inspection, I found heavy coffee spillage on the safe and no power or lights on the right BA. I removed the right BA and found that the cable was unplugged. I reseated the cable, and BA power on. I performed a bill acceptor diagnostic, which showed a failed status. I swapped the left and right BAs and confirmed that the issue followed the BA. I replaced the right BA and ran another diagnostic, which showed all statuses as normal. I then had Claire perform a deposit test, during which she experienced difficulty depositing into the left BA. I removed the left BA and found coffee beans inside the unit. I cleaned and wiped down the BA, reinstalled it, and had Claire perform another deposit test. She was able to successfully deposit cash into both BAs. Safe is up and operational. Advised the site to prevent future spills on or around the safe to avoid equipment damage.;

Arrived, spoke to manager, found unit offline, opened the main panel, found it offline, per technician Ben: found the breaker box, found the safe breaker not flipped, left it alone, used my meter to test if power was coming at all, the manager mentioned one of the registers on the counter was also not getting any power and that made me think of the six plug under the counter, before I started opening the counter however I went back to the breaker box found the safe and pressed the "test" button then flipped the breaker back on, came back turned on the safe, safe turned on, it gave me the message that it was offline for to long, called tidel got Trinidad, got a pacn, called deposita, got justin, checked connection, safe was connected and running, prepped parts for return, got signature, closed safe panel;

Arrived on site. Google maps shows the ads different. Called POC and talked with Matt. He explained where it was. Called poc and he said there was an access for back of safe in front of customer counter. Remvoed access panel and found broken wires for the power cord. Followed it into the safe and it looked like it went behind chasis. Removed chassis and the modem was going into door2. Opened door 2 and had to empty all contents of rolled coins. Plugged in the new router and the safe is back online and put all rolled coins back in. Checked and safe is online. Called Deposita and waited for Angel to test connection. Angel put me on hold to see if I needed to replace modem. Angel said to replace it. Removed all rolled coins again and replaced modem. Called Deposita back and talked to Angel. He said it was online. I told him there wasn't a return label. He sent an email requesting return label.;

Arrived on-site and met with the MOD who who told me the issue. The safe was off as it was beeping constantly when I turned it on. I replaced the BA and tested both sides. And both work. Also tested the printer as it was right underneath and was working properly, no liquid was found. Spoke to Jeremy from tidel and told him the issue (also sent me a return label) and suggested that it would be moved to a different location. He told me that would be for the store to do. I went back in and spoke to the District manager and made the same suggestion as it could cost more money and/or void warranty if there is one. The safe is right under the counter, right next to the register and an ice machine...not safe at all. ;

Arrived on site and verified safe. BA2 has Jam status. Removed ba2 and noticed a $10 inside BA. Removed note and handed to Fee manning (manager). Performed PM on BA2. Noticed coin inside BA1 so I removed it and performed PM on that BA as well. Both BA's have status of READY. Voltage good as well. Had Fee manning test both BA's and are working. Smart safe is back in service;

Arrived onsite, able to open drop vault (labeled door 1) with needle pliers. Previously installed knob broken off, epoxy used jammed in knob hole. Removing cash from drop vault, disassembling drop vault assembly to remove lock plate. Locking plate removed, drilling epoxy out. Epoxy removed, threads in plate still usable, installing knew knob. New knob installed, drop vault able to be opened and closed using new knob installed. Issue resolved, closing out ticket.;

Arrived onsite duplicated issue with store manager Jamie I took apart and blew out both bill acceptors switched both mei boards as well as bill acceptors after noticing the left one didn't take any bills and the right one was making loud popping noises due to a paper clip that was jammed deep inside the mouth of the right bill acceptor and the left one had an old bill ripped up inside it and a coffee bean after all jams were found and cleared we ran a couple note tests and both bill acceptors are now back online and operating as normal ;
